Got the cases and head back from bead blasting. Brings them up like new, well almost.

an old washing machine motor with a polishing mop fitted saves a lot of work

I’d be glad to send the covers to anyone that might want to borrow them. I keep all the plates, bungs, screws etc together so that when i need them they are all there.

Yes,use a liquid gasket sealent behind the covers to keep the beads out.

It’s a 5″ gauge. It took me three years to build , between 1987-1990. Been under the stairs for donkeys years. Looking T having boiler tested and steaming it.
